Billings Estate Weddings

Billings Estate is a bit of a hidden gem as far as wedding venues goes in Ottawa. Since it’s owned by the city of Ottawa, and also operates as a museum, it’s not highly advertised. They have a wonderful outdoor gardens, along with rooms for both the bride and groom to get ready in. There is plenty of parking, and their fees are very reasonable.

Notre Dame Basilica

The most lavish Basilica in Ottawa is Notre Dame. Located on Sussex drive, across from the National Gallery of Canada. The Basilica is a great location for larger weddings as it has plenty of room for all of your guests, and is central to great wedding reception venues such as the National Gallery of Canada, the Chateau Laurier and the Westin Hotel.

Boldt Castle (USA)

Looking for somewhere unique for your wedding ceremony? Boldt Castle may be your answer! Construction of the Castle began in 1900 and continued until 1904 when the project was abandoned. There are beautiful garden locations for your ceremony, and the Castle provides amazing opportunities for photography!

What better place to get married than on an island in the shape of a heart!

St. Raphael’s Ruins – Glengarry

Yet another unique location for wedding and / or rock the frock photographs near Ottawa. We have photographed at St. Raphael’s before and never get tired of it. You unfortunately not allowed to have your ceremony inside the ruins of St. Raphael’s church, however you may take photographs on the site. First built in 1786, the church burnt in 1970. Since then there has been a very large conservation effort, as it was one of the first Roman Catholic churches in Canada.
